About Our Studio

Sustainability

Collectively we are extremely passionate about the sustainability of our planet, and always looking at ways in which we can reduce our Carbon Footprint.

We do everything we can to ensure our business practices are environmentally responsible. We use:

  • 100% biodegradable gloves – they degrade into nitrate to feed the soil
  • 100% recycled aluminium – our foil is made from 100% recycled aluminium, being part of the refoil program means every piece of foil we use in the salon is then also recycled (Did you know that Australian Hairdressing salons send 1 million kilos of foil into landfill each year, and with only 1% of salons recycling, thats unbelievable!! were glad to be part of the 1%
  • Embee meche – 100% biodegradable reusable meche (foil alternative)
  • Filtered, Lower Water Usage – eco heads are installed on our basin, The unique filtration-system helps to reduce chlorine and generates negative ions as water goes through, which softens the hair for a smoother end result. Thanks to the purifying qualities of the filter screens, this original product also removes sediment, rust and sand for cleaner water. Its unique design also doubles the water pressure, whilst using far less water than a conventional shower head. Energy and Water efficient!
  • We recycle everything,

Social Responsibility

Giving back – The Smith Family

We believe charity begins at home. As part of our commitment to social responsibility, we sponsor a disadvantaged Australian child to provide for their education, which helps to develop their skills and confidence so that they can create a better future.

Protecting the Daintree - Rainforest Rescue

The Daintree Rainforest is one of the most diverse eco systems in the world and we have to protect it. We are saving this rainforest one tree at a time by making a monthly donations to Rainforest Rescue: a charity buying back the predominately freehold land of the Daintree Rainforest and turning it into conservation land to preserve this natural beauty.
